Once upon a time there was a girl named Katie. She was a bubbly, happy, colorful girl who loved all things bright and beautiful.
She had two friends named Emily and Julia. They were a lot different from Katie, though.
Instead of being happy all the time, they were gloomy people who barely ever smiled.
Katie tried to make them happier...
...but they just thought she was a bit weird.
After a long time, however, Julia and Emily finally became a bit more joyful.
