This last month of summer has been glorious but increasingly busy.
It started out with a fun-filled vacation with my good friend Noelle at Lake Winnipesaukee (now try pronouncing that!).
We made LOTS of good food. And ate too much of it. There was tons of laughter, many new memories made, and shopping trips taken. Noelle's family was SO much fun to be with! All her aunts talk so much - it's amusing to listen to.
The most memorable meal we had was down on the dock. It started raining just as we began to eat, so we had to eat under umbrellas! You'd be surprised at how hard it is to multitask holding an umbrella and eating soup.
Soon after that trip I went with my entire youth ministry to our annual retreat.
It was one of the best yet - God worked in so many ways, we had so much fun doing activities and games, friendships were made and strengthened... it was definitely a highlight of the summer.
After the retreat, reality began to catch up to me. Cross country practices have been taking over my life, the new school year is looming right ahead of me, events have come up all over the place. So it has been quite busy.
The weather has also taken a quick change - for better or worse, I can't decide yet... haha.
Nights are getting much colder, leaves are dying, days are getting shorter, and you can definitely smell fall in the air.
I hope your summers have all gone well! I'll leave you with this verse from Jeremiah 29:
