The Future (Personal)

Right now I'm sitting in my backyard, enjoying the lovely weather and soft breezes blowing through my hair. The sun is slowly melting in a golden pool of light and the trees are displaying their finest autumn colors. The rest of the week is off from school, and I have the blessing of no homework to do. My sister and her husband are also here for the week. This afternoon was full of playing games outside with my sister, brother, and neighbor. Friends, it is good to be alive!

Fall is a season of change. Colder temperatures bring a different environment, school brings new responsibilities and schedules, friendships grow stronger, people get older, and new plans appear on the horizon.

The future is an exciting and scary thing, folks. Try not to get too settled in one place or situation - you never know when God is going to move you or change some part of your life.

I am super excited for this next season of my life: it will be wonderful and refreshing to be given a new outlook on many parts of life. God has been helping me recently to see how small and insignificant I am, how unimportant it is to be completely comfortable in life. There is so much more to life than me and my wold, and God can and will use me if I am willing to follow him.

Have a great week, everyone! :)

(Next up: Ellie's senior shoot!)
