Carthage

This one's for you history lovers out there. Or I suppose anyone who thinks ancient ruins are awesome. :)

One amazing perk to living here is being right next to many old Roman and Carthaginian ruins! The [foundations and parts of] ancient cities and buildings are still visible for the most part - and the greatest thing about it is being able to walk all over and around everything! It's so cool to see things that were made and used by people thousands of years ago.

(Most of these pictures WILL be of old ruins... I just wanted to show y'all some other stuff as well) :)

These are mostly from Roman baths; back in their day, they were massive, elaborate buildings! For example, that big pillar would have been standing on the floor and holding up huge domed arches forming a beautiful ceiling above.

There were column heads strewn around different parts of the baths... I am still amazed at how intricate they are.
