Sidi Bou Said

A couple weekends ago, my mom, sister, and I took a trip out to a city right on the Mediterranean Sea called Sidi Bou Said.
The day started out cloudy and threatening to downpour, but it thankfully became gorgeous later!

This city is quite high-end and a top place for tourists because of the breathtaking views of the sea. Thus the buildings are especially nice!
The bright blue is seen EVERYwhere... it is the cheerful, classic color of Tunisia.

The doors, too, are incredible!! Each one is so elaborate and manages to be different from all the rest.

One very popular stop is this little donut shop, producing amazing deep-fried, sugar-coated yumminess :)

I have fallen in love with the perfect aqua waters of the Mediterranean:

One of the wonderful things here is the abundance of oranges. Everywhere you look - cities, people's
yards... - you see trees loaded with fresh citrus. What a blessing to have cheap, accessible, juicy fruit!

Since Sidi Bou is such a tourist attraction, people definitely make the most of visitors. Many streets are lined with shops and 'hanuts' selling all kinds of art and trinkets. If you appear interested, the sellers won't let you walk away easily! A customer must have proper haggling skills unless they want to be taken advantage of. ;)
